TinBoktu's Wedding

I've always wanted to witness a wedding at the Transfiguration Chapel in Caleruega. It came true yesterday when my cousin/friend got hitched. Travel time from Manila (UST) is about 2 1/2 hours. Take skyway then Paranaque exit. The breeze is cool at Batulao. We were the earliest birds so I had the time to snap photos of some details.
photo op right after the ceremony. female entourage in chocolate brown and champagne dresses, male entourage in white polos, knitted vests, khaki pants and black sneakers. bride had a star gazer bouquet
meanwhile, before the ceremony.....motif is chocolate brown, with a medieval inspired theme

hanging pails with flowers are alternative for the traditional church flowers

bride's gown is Arwen (Lord of the Rings) inspired
the groom sported a suit+sneakers combo

meet Hotdog! It's Tin's (bride) car/bridal car!
reception was held at the Lake Hotel
Lake Hotel was heaven sent for Tin. Originally, they booked Chateau Royale, but few months before the event, the management called the couple and asked demanded if they can them to move to a smaller venue because they want to prioritize a much larger business event. I don't usually drop names, but for whatever angle, Chateau's definitely wrong here. So in the end, the couple looked for another place and Lake Hotel welcomed them.
Tin's raving for this cake. It's the famous Claycakes by Karla Magbanua. Details are just so nice--castle, dog, cat, groom in  a shining armor. If you go to Karla, the first thing she'll ask you is how high the ceiling of your venue is. This is what I understood it. The higher the ceiling, the bigger and taller the cake should be, which means it's more expensive.
cocktails were served outside the hotel. K by Cunanan delivered! The food was great!
This is the message tree. Bookmarks with messages from the guests were hang.

nice view of the Taal Lake
It was so cold here!

Inside the venue. Very nice details by Kay Cunanan

The blushing bride. All guests went outside for the lighting of fire lanterss. Tin had a surgery two weeks before their big day. One of her ovaries was removed. So Tin and Bok, make babies as soon as Tin recovered. God bless you both!
